Pattern of the Month: Campout Kerchief

As we were getting ready for our first camping trip of the season, I decided to create an accessory for all girls who LOVE the great outdoors. Without being able to shower for a day (or two), hair can be a problem.......answer: The Campout Kerchief! Cover your nasty hair with a little style!

Materials:

  • 1 skein cotton yarn of your choice
  • knitting needles (sized for your yarn)

Instructions:

Cast on 3 stitches. Knit 2 rows. Increase by knitting into the front and back of the last stitch.

Rows 3 - 56: Knit 2, yarn over, knit to end. Turn.

When you reach 60 stitchs (or to desired size), bind off.

Create ties by braiding, chain stitching or twisting 2-3 lengths of yarn and attach to both corners of the Camping Kercheif. Add beads, fun yarn or a bear bell for decoration.

Happy Camping!
